A Haiku Poem About Silence

How many of you know what a haiku is? For those of you who don't know, it is a Japanese style of poetry. A poem of three lines of 5 syllables, 7 syllables, and 5 syllables.

I first became acquainted with this form of poetry when my family and I lived in Hawaii, with it's large population of Japanese-Americans, and at one time was composing them left, right, and center. Not so much anymore.

Here is one though that occurred to me yesterday at work. I have nothing else to talk about today, but if anything occurs to me, I'll keep you informed.

Oh blessed silence,

A prayer said every day.

A prayer unanswered.
