How am I supposed to control another human being?! I have no power or authority to do so. If someone I know decides to do something, whether I agree with it or not, does some law, charter, policy or procedure allow me to use force to stop them?
The wise man (or woman) would do well to not use the phrase "Stand up for yourself and don't let them walk all over you" so indiscriminately with me, because you never know when I might decide that you are going to be one of the 'them' I decide to stand up to.
This was just an afterthought. Something I put down to help relieve stress and work out conflicting emotions. Then again . . . . .
